LDWA Rate Schedule 2020

PROPERTY OWNERSHIP – ACCOUNT TRANSFERS
LDWA water rates are based on the full month and cannot be prorated for a portion of the month.  Shareholders buying and selling property are advised to contact their realtor and/or title company to ascertain the amount due at the date of closing a property sale. 

I.      STANDBY TAPS $30 month parcels with one water share attached, no meter.

II.    ACTIVE TAPS If expansion, modification, or change in use of a building requires additional water flow, installation of an upsized meter may be required at the cost of installation plus the difference in price between the original meter and the required new meter.

          0 up to 20,000 gals $40.00/mo
          20,001 up to 40,000 gal – $1.00/1,000 gals
          40,001 up to 60,000 gal – $3.00/1,000 gals
          60,001 up to 80,000 gal – $5.00/1,000 gals
          80,001 up to 100,000 gal – $6.00/1,000 gals
          100,001 gals and up – $7.00/1,000 gals

          Monthly Water Rates – Commercial, Institutional, Industrial
          0 up to 20,000 gals $40.00/mo
          20,001 up to 40,000 gal – $2.00/1,000 gals
          40,001 up to 60,000 gal – $4.00/1,000 gals
          60,001 up to 80,000 gal- $5.00/1,000 gals
          80,001 up to 100,000 gal- $6.00/1,000 gals
          100,001 gals and up – $7.00/1,000 gals

III.  METER RENTAL RATES – APPLICATION REQUIRED

  • Security Deposit (refundable if meter returned in good condition): $1,750.00, and
  • $175.00 the first day, $30.00 each additional day, plus $5.00 per 1,000 gallons, and
  • if rental period exceeds ten (10) days, meter is subject to periodic inspection by authorized LDWA

IV. NEW CONSTRUCTION 
Property owners must own one CULINARY water share with LDWA and complete all LDWA building requirements PRIOR to commencing construction including parcel excavation and digging or any other construction. This requirement is in addition to the Town of Leeds requirements. If this requirement is bypassed, LDWA does not guarantee culinary water service to the parcel.

V.    IMPACT FEES (2020)

​         1” Meter $16,411.00
​         1½” Meter $53,187.00
​         2” Meter $85,623.00

VI.  WATER CONNECTION FEES (2020)

  • Parcels with existing Standby Taps: $1,750.00
  • Connection Fees for parcels requiring installation of new lines begin at $2,500.00, subject to increase dependent on logistics, distance from existing
  • Additional costs based on distance from existing water lines to new connection, replacement of asphalt, and other logistics that may affect installation

VII.  PURCHASE OF ONE CULINARY WATER SHARE: $9,417.00

VIII.  EFFECTIVE JAN 1, 2016.
Parcels created or annexed into the LDWA service area may be required to provide LDWA with water source, warranted water rights, water storage, and Costs for water distribution.

IX. WATER SHARE REINSTATEMENT FEE: $9,417.00

X.   ADMINISTRATIVE FEES.

  • Returned Check Fee: $45.00 or the cost to LDWA, whichever is
  • Account Transfer Fee: $85.00.
  • Copies of additional documents such as meeting minutes, $.35

XI. RES 2015-06 THEFT OF WATER UTILITIES.

Theft of water, damage, destruction, or vandalism to LDWA public culinary water utility, are criminal violations: UT State Code & Penalties.

XII.  UNAUTHORIZED USE OF FIRE HYDRANTS IS ILLEGAL.
Water theft will be permanent record with the Utah Washington County Sheriff Department. $1,500.00 minimum fine is subject to additional fees. Payment is the responsibility of the property owner of legal record.
