Forsyth Fire :: 2025
As news of the devastating Pine Valley fire comes in, we’re reaching out to LDWA shareholders as part of fire preparedness and resiliency for our community.
What you can do:
- Stay informed by registering or verifying your emergency contact information with the Washington County Utah Citizens Alert and Leeds Domestic Waterusers Association.
- In the event of an imminent fire, we may ask shareholders to curb outdoor and other non-essential water use to preserve water pressure and volume for fire fighting efforts.
- For your safety and to protect LDWA’s water infrastructure, please respect state and federal agency road and backcountry closures, including the current Pine Valley Ranger District closure for the Forsyth Fire.
- Comply with the state and federal agency Stage 1 fire restrictions:
- Order for state and private unincorporated land
- National Park Service and Bureau of Land Management order
- Dixie National Forest fire restrictions go into effect starting July 1st.
We are grateful to our local and visiting fire fighters.
Thanks in advance for your cooperation.
Please contact us with any questions or concerns.
